BLOG NOTES

My life so far is in four different segments. Birth to high school graduation, military and college and initial entry into the work force for about 15 years, the past 20 years of my life as a career civilian/soldier and now since February, 2006, as a person with a written VISION, MISSION, and VALUES that will propel me into touching the lives of all who will read what I write or listen to what I have to say about “Achieving the Extraordinary” in their lives.

My VISION is that the www.optimisticday.com web site and Have An Optimistic Day weekly newsletter and internet talk show “Achieving the Extraordinary” with Ron Graves, at www.7thwavenetwork.com, this BLOG site and speaking engagements are designed with the thought that all people can comprehend and focus on achieving the extraordinary in their lives and understanding that it takes only accomplishing that little extra to achieve the extraordinary.

My MISSION is to provide a communication network for all who have a goal in life to absorb more about ACHIEVING THE EXTRAORDINARY so that they only need to read and listen to reach that goal.

My VALUES are that my readers are utmost in my mind as I development the tools I use to accomplish the MISSION and fulfill my VISION and that I will have integrity and compassion as well as passion in my work and will respect the comments of others and listen to them as I develop the MISSION and I will also take full responsibility for what I say and do.

Today is September 25, 2006. My parent’s 69th wedding anniversary is today. My Father passed away in 1999 but it is still their anniversary. This BLOG and what I do now in life has a direct relationship to them and what I believe and how I live my life.

I can say Daddy never quit trying to achieve the extraordinary. And, Mother is the Extraordinary. She is living the extraordinary. Giving a little more and doing a little more is her life.

My challenge is to let the world to know that “Achieving the Extraordinary” in one’s life has a different meaning and a different scale for each person. The Biblestory about the poor woman with a penny and the rich man with wealth who gave and that the penny given by the poor woman was more meaningful because of the purpose and attitude by which she gave and the amount relative to her wealth is a story worth remembering.

One of the greatest value’s in life is caring about others. One should not wait until their last breath to understand that what is within your heart and soul goes with you, but your money stays behind. One can Achieve the Extraordinary in their life without measuring it with money in the bank.
